Cotswold bin collections
Half price garden waste is available in the Cotswolds if you claim Council Tax or Housing Benefit: quote your claim reference at sign-up and the £73 licence drops by 50%. Everyone else pays the full fee whenever they join, with no refunds. Food goes in its own weekly caddy and must stay out of the garden bin.
Which bin is which in Cotswold
The grey wheelie bin is for rubbish. Bins out by 7am, and be aware that collections can be suspended without notice in severe weather.
Garden waste: £73 a year
The 2026/27 licence is £73, running 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, and it's the full fee whenever you join. Council Tax or Housing Benefit claimants get 50% off by quoting their claim reference at sign-up. Every bin needs its own licence sticker. There's a pause of about two weeks over Christmas and New Year, and no refunds, including for weather suspensions.

Get told the night before
Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
