Binformation is a free bin day reminder app for Android that gives residents their collection schedule, evening-before notifications, and a calendar view — with no account needed.

How it works
Residents enter their postcode, confirm their address, and see their full collection schedule. The app sends a notification the evening before each collection so nothing gets missed.
We source collection data from publicly available council systems. If your council would prefer a more direct integration — for example, providing an API or data feed — we're happy to accommodate that.
Data and privacy
We take data handling seriously. Binformation processes only the minimum data needed to look up a collection schedule (postcode and street address), and nothing is stored on our servers beyond a short-lived cache to reduce repeated lookups.
If your council has specific GDPR or data processing requirements, we're willing to work with you to ensure full compliance — whether that means signing a data processing agreement or adapting how we handle your residents' lookups.
