About Mark Andrews

I'm Mark. I build Android apps under Keep Computing.

My main project is Kepthouse, a UK home management app that handles bins, MOT reminders, car tax, warranties, household bills, subscriptions, pet records, and all the other admin that comes with running a house. I've been building it for a while and it does a lot of things.

Binformation came from a specific problem. Kepthouse is a big app with a broad scope. When people search the Play Store for "bin day reminder," they're looking for exactly that. Not a full home management suite. A bin day reminder. Kepthouse couldn't rank for those searches without diluting its own listing. So I built a standalone app that does the one thing those people are looking for.

Binformation is a real product, not a shell. It pulls collection schedules for 334 UK councils, sends evening-before notifications with the exact bins listed, handles bank holiday changes automatically, and runs on server-side data so your phone never scrapes council websites. It works on its own and doesn't require Kepthouse.

I'm based in the UK. I work independently. Both apps are built in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and Material Design 3. The backend runs on my own server. I handle design, development, testing, and support. That means when you email with a bug, I'm the person who reads it and fixes it. No ticket queue, no support team, just me.
