Bradford bin collections

In Bradford the green bin is your rubbish bin. Recycling goes in the grey one, the two alternate weekly, and only one green bin per household gets emptied, even after a missed collection. Weekly food waste collections started in September 2026.

Which bin is which in Bradford

Green for general waste, grey for recycling, brown for paid garden waste. No side waste, and recycling bins with the wrong things in get tagged and left. Crews work Tuesday to Friday, 6.30am to 5.15pm.

Get told the night before

Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
