Put a bin day lookup on your website
"When are the bins?" is probably the question your website gets asked most. This box answers it. Residents put in their postcode and house number and get their next collections straight from the council, with the right bin colours. It's free, there's nothing to sign up for, and it covers 334 UK councils.
It was built with parish and town councils, residents' associations, housing associations, letting agents and local news sites in mind. If your residents ask about bins, it'll be useful.

The code
Paste this where you want the box to appear. On WordPress, use a Custom HTML block. On Wix or Squarespace, use an embed or code block.
The short script lets the box grow when results appear. If your site builder strips scripts, the iframe still works; it just keeps a fixed height and scrolls.
The small print
Free to use on any website, commercial or not. Please keep the "Bin day lookup by Binformation" line under the box. It's how other sites find out the lookup exists, and it's the only thing asked in return.
Each lookup asks the council's own system, so answers usually take 5 to 20 seconds and a slow council can take a minute. A Cloudflare check runs in the background on every lookup to keep bots out, so it can't be scripted. Nothing about your visitors is stored beyond the six-hour result cache described in the privacy policy, and the box sets no cookies of its own.
