Slough bin collections
In Slough all the recycling shares one red bin: glass, cans, cardboard, plastic bottles and paper. It alternates with the grey rubbish bin, one week each. Food waste is weekly, collected on the same day as whichever of the two is out.

Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
