Harrow bin collections
Harrow gives every household one free bulky collection a year, for up to four items, with four more on top for £28.45. Day to day, rubbish and recycling are both fortnightly and the black food caddy goes every week.
Which bin is which in Harrow
Rubbish goes in the green or grey bin and recycling in the blue. Crews won't take anything left outside the bin. The council's bins page lets you add the annual collection calendar to your phone.
Garden waste: £69 a year
£69 for 2026-27, covering fortnightly collections in the brown bin from April 2026 to March 2027, or £34.50 with Council Tax Support. Subscribe by entering your postcode on the bins page, and you'll get a sticker for the bin.
Weekly food waste collection
Weekly, in the black caddy.
Report a missed bin
Report it within 48 hours of collection day. Crews come back within three days.
Bulky waste collection from £59.70
Once the free one's used, it's £59.70 for one to four items, £87.70 for five to eight and £115.70 for nine to twelve.

Get told the night before
Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
