Bromley bin collections

By Mark Andrews. Checked against London Borough of Bromley pages on 26 October 2026.

Bromley supplies your recycling boxes but not your rubbish bin. You buy that yourself. Recycling is split across two boxes that go out on alternate weeks, and food is collected every week whatever else is due.

Which bin is which in Bromley

One week it's your rubbish plus the black box of paper and card. The next it's the green box with bottles, cans and plastic. Put containers at the edge of your property by 7am, not out on the pavement.

Get told the night before

Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
