Braintree bin collections

Braintree changed its bins in June 2026. The grey bin is now for non-recyclable rubbish, the blue-lidded bin takes mixed recycling including glass, and paper and card have a red-lidded bin of their own. Food goes in an outdoor caddy every week.

Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
