Bolton bin collections
Bolton households run four bins, and two of them are colours you won't find in many places. The burgundy one takes glass, cans and plastic bottles, the beige one paper and card. Garden waste goes in the standard green bin along with food.
Which bin is which in Bolton
The grey bin is for general waste, every fortnight, and any bags left next to it stay there. Bins need to be out by 7am.
Garden waste collection

Binformation is a free Android app. Put your postcode in once and it sends a notification the evening before each collection, saying which bins are going. If the council moves your day for a bank holiday, the reminder moves with it.
